Crossroads


In the popular quarters of Crossroads, only the Leclerc Dwelling, located in Martissant 23, deserves a visit. While coming from Port-au-Prince, in Crossroads, you will turn left on the level of the borlette Cleste. In Martissant 23, you will find a first gate of entry on the left and, opposite, the residence of the wife of the owner, Katherine Dunham, which is also a mambo (priestess voodoo).

You will be able to visit his temple voodoo. A little higher on the left is the main entrance. On the other hand, of what was, 20 years ago, one of the most beautiful hotels of the world, it does not remain any more but the garden. Remain on the side of import duty a monument set up to the glory of the British Empire. The site was completely squattris and people built on the property.

In the beginning, this luxuriant park of 16 ha had been selected like residence in Port-au-Prince by Pauline Leclerc, sister of Bonaparte.
