The north of the country gathers three departments: North, the North-West and the North-West. First has as a chief town Cape-Haitian. The department of North shelters also the principal seaside resort of the country: Labadie. The crossing of the department of the North-East will enable you to go on the traces of Christophe Colomb while visiting, on the road of Extremely-Freedom, Bord - Lemonade of-Sea, Puerto Real and the supposed site of the Fort of the Nativity.

To the department of the North-West, the island of the Tortoise is attached, is associated to the flibustiers and to the buccaneers. The Tortoise is regarded as the island with the treasure, because it is supposed that the flibustiers piled up richnesses there. The beach of Point-West deserves the turning, if not the essence of the department offers only one arid landscape.
