| The coast of Arcadins, located in the other direction, fact face with two islets of mangroves, in the gulf of Gnave, and proposes several hotels with beautiful beaches. That of Mill-on-Sea makes it possible to visit the colonial museum Ogier-Fombrun on the old Ogier dwelling, which still shelters the vestiges of an aqueduct. The architect Gerard Fombrun reconstituted the elements of the colonial life in this museum very interesting to visit. It is coast of Arcadins which one embarks for Gnave. This island was used as refuge to the Amerindians at the time of the massacre of the court of the queen Anacaona de Logne (kingdom of Xaragua), according to the order of Ovando, which made it judge, condemn and hang on a place of Santo Domingo in 1503. Anacaona paid its life the resistance of Xaragua, remained only insoumy on arrival of the Ovando Spaniard. Gonve counts among one of the principal prehistoric sites of Haiti. It is one of the most important suppliers of materials lithic and human bones prcolombiens. The craniums found in the island of Gonve and the vestiges of the cultures Arawak and Tano attest presences of aboriginals. A team of Canadians of Amerindian origin currently works in Nan Caf on the vestiges tanos.
