The Notre Dame cathedral is a building noroman opened with the worship on December 20, 1914. It is with the downtown area of , rue du D'Aubry Port-au-Prince. It is the greatest religious construction of the town of Port-au-Prince and probably of Haiti. His two majestic white towers by far are noticed. Located at the West of the building, their cupolas are not without recalling the basilica of Crowned Heart to Paris. In front of the park closed with the public but open Sunday during the mass. It rose formerly on what is nothing any more but one waste ground. This old building burned in 1991 during popular riots.
The episcopal church Holy Trinity is not very interesting on the architectural level, but owes its celebrity with naive paintings of the apses and the side aisles. The biblical representations are transposed in Haitian landscapes. These paintings are regarded as being most representative of the Haitian na5ive art and were carried out by the Haitian painters most known: Bazile, Bottex, Prffte Duffaut, Obin and Bigaud. They go back to 1950.

On the right of the prospect, the monument with foot of Ption on its red granite base, work of the cuban sculptor Joseph Sicre, not yet draws up in a park ouvertu with the unfinished public because. the equestrian statue of Henri Christophe, near Mupanah, is the work of the cuban sculptor Ramos Blanco. The place of Italy and the Mirror with the Dragonflies
Located in the axis of the town hall, reinforcing the monumentality of this one, the place opens on the sea. An immense water level, the Mirror with the dragonflies, placed at the center of an elegant garden, underlines the imposing prospect on bay for Port-au-Prince and the gulf of Gonve. The southern part, which faces the post office, accomodates salesmen of naive paintings which expose works on nettings of the place. The western part, giving on the boulevard of Harry-Truman, became the framework of gigantic popular spectacles since the famous service of Fugees.
